Fisherman's Park

By the coast of the Pacific Ocean in San José del Cabo, a parking lot is regularly used by local fishermen to park their vehicles and unwind near one of the few public access points to the beach. The landscape design includes a large circular path that gently winds down between the rocks, providing easy and scenic access to the water. Planted, hilled islands featuring native species create a natural boundary for the park, distancing the cars from the shoreline and leaving a spacious sandy area for people to gather and enjoy the ocean views. In addition to the new park layout, the project includes public toilet facilities and a pathway that connects the city to the Marina, encouraging greater pedestrian movement between the two areas.
